Jiangsu Normal University(JSNU) held the 4th Fire-fighting Games in the playfield of Jiawang Campus of JSNU. Mr. Liu Guangdeng(the vice president of JSNU) attended the opening ceremony with other leaders from the Students Affairs Department of JSNU, Security Department of JSNU, Youth League Committe of JSNU and Management Committe of Jiawang Campus of JSNU. Around 2,000 teachers and students attended the opening ceremony and watched the games.
In the opening ceremony, the leader of the Management Committe of Jiawang Campus delivered the speech which emphasized the meaning of the games. The firefighters of the Fire Brigade of Jiawang did the fire-fighting drill for teachers and students and the Students Fire-fighting Team of Jiawang Campus did a first-aid drill. Then the players orderly took part the events of evacuation, linking fire hose and using fire-extinguisher to stamp out the early-rising fire. Students had a further knowledge of fire by simulating fire site and setting unexpected obstacles. The School of Chinese Language and Literature won the first prize, the School of Computer Sience and Technology won the second prize and the School of Business won the third prize. The School of History, Culture and Tourism, the School of Law and Politics and the Jiawang Center of the Community Service Group of JSNU won the Excellence Organization Awards.
Liu Guangdeng, vice-president of Jiangsu Normal University, has delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the firefighting competition on behalf of the school . He congratulated the success of the fire fighting competition and good results achieved by the students .Also, he gave sincere thanks to the fire workers, logistics service personnel ,the referees and the stuff for their hard work . Mr.liu said ,campus security and stability lay the bases for the steady development of the school, the firefighting competition is helpful to improve the safety awareness, strengthen campus security work, remove potential safety risks and develop safety skills. He hoped that all the teachers and students should work together to make our school safe, harmonious, stable, beautiful and in good order.
This event is carried out by the school Security Department and Jia Wang campus. It accords with the ”11.9 firefighting” propaganda of China. The enjoyable and educational experience has developed the students' firefighting knowledge greatly.
