To enrich the winter vacation of international students and spread Chinese traditional culture, on the afternoon of January 22, JSNU International College held 2019 Spring Festival Cultural Experience Activity. President Zhou Ruguang, Director of Publicity Department, Meng Zhaoxue and leaders from Students Affair Office, International Office, Logistics Group and International College attended the activity and delivered greetings to JSNU international students.
At the beginning, international students watched the Spring Festival Documentary. Then, it came to the quiz. The atmosphere was warm because people with right answers could win red packages. Later, international students experienced writing spring couplets and paper cutting. At last, all the participants sat together to make dumplings.
President Zhou taught international students to make dumplings himself and gave out New Year presents to them. He expressed his greetings to students and their families faraway from China and noted that safety was important during winter vacation. At the same time, he wished that all the international students could cherish the time spent in China and have a brighter future. International students proved their joy with their shows like ethnic songs and Kuaiban, creating a warmer atmosphere of Spring Festival.
This activity helped international students understand Spring Festival better and feel the warmth and delight of Chinese people during Spring Festival.
