On May 19 morning, relevant leaders and experts, including Hu Ye, principal staff member of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Luo Yang, deputy director of the Department of Jiangsu Science and Technology, Xu Jieming, deputy director of Jiangsu Hi-tech Innovation Service Center, Kang Yafei, service director of the Science and Technology Park, and Huang Yazhen, deputy director of Xuzhou Science and Technology Bureau, visited JSNU to investigate the construction and operation of the University Science and Technology Park. Professor Zhou Ruguang, President of JSNU, relevant personnel of functional departments and expert representatives accompanied the investigation.
The investigation and research team received a detailed report of the construction and development process of the university science and technology park. They visited the public service platform, and listened to the introduction of the transformation of project results. They also visited the incubator enterprises in the park to understand in detail the production and operation, market positioning, technology research and development, school-enterprise cooperation and other aspects of the enterprises.
At the meeting, President Zhou Ruguang warmly welcomed relevant leaders and experts for investigation and guidance. He pointed out that JSNU has attached great importance to the construction of the university science and technology park. With more than ten years of efforts, the non-normal applied disciplines have developed rapidly and become a strong support for the development of the university science and technology industry. Also, President Zhou discussed with the participating experts and leaders such issues as the corporatization of the university science and technology park, the difficulties in the construction and development of the park under the background of normal colleges, and the limited development of small enterprises affected by the epidemic.
The leaders of the investigation group fully affirmed the achievements of the construction of the Science and Technology Park of JSNU, and said that the park has certain foundation and resource advantages, and has actively explored in the aspects of teachers and students’ entrepreneurship, incubation management and achievement transformation. They hope that in the future, the University Science and Technology Park will further strengthen the five functions of the integration of innovation resources, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, incubation of scientific and technological entrepreneurship, talent training and promotion of open and collaboratived evelopment, so as to improve the park’s ability of scientific and technological service and make greater contributions to regional scientific and technological innovation and economic and social development.
