Recently, the Project Management Office of the National University Student Volunteer Service Plan in the West of China announced the results of the performance assessment of the Plan in the West of China in 2020, and the Project Office of JSNU won the award of Excellent Grade. Only 5 universities in Jiangsu Provincewon the honor.
The National Project Office of the Western China Program was jointly established by the Central Committee of the Chinese Youth League, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to guide, coordinate, organize and manage the Western China Program.
JSNU has attached great importance to the volunteer work of the Western Plan and the Northern Jiangsu plan. Under the unified leadership of the Party Committee of the Project Office in JSNU, a total of 43 volunteers have been sent to Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province for teaching support. The university recruited and selected more than one thousand volunteers of the Western Plan and Northern Jiangsu Plan to carry out volunteer services. Over the years, the School Project Office has focused on improving the system, the training, the volunteer service skills, and actively leading the young volunteers to devote themselves. For many years, the leaders of JSNU led the responsible persons of relevant departments to carry out the guidance work in western China, and constantly deepened the school-local cooperation and joint construction. The volunteer service of the School Project Office has been reported by CCTV News, Oriental Time and Space, China Education Daily and other main stream media. It has been awarded the “Excellent Sub-project Office” for five times, and won the “Excellent Organization Award” of North Jiangsu University Student Volunteer Service Plan for ten consecutive years. In the future, the School Project Office will closely focus on the youth participation in the “social governance”, “rural revitalization” and other major strategic deployment, constantly deepen the volunteer service work, and comprehensively lead the young students to play a positive role in promoting the start of the new journey of socialist modernization.
