Recently, Jiangsu High-level University Construction Leading Group Office has officially announced the performance evaluation results of the second construction phase (2017-2020) of Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center for Colleges and Universities. After obtaining the highest grade in the first phase (2014-2016) construction evaluation, the Collaborative Innovation Center for Language Competence of JSNU was awarded the highest grade A+ this time. It is the only liberal arts collaborative innovation center among the six A+ grade centers in the province.
In order to further strengthen the construction and management of Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center for Colleges and Universities (hereinafter referred to as the Center), the Office of Jiangsu High-level University Construction Leading Group organizes a performance evaluation for the Center every four years, and the evaluation results serve as an important basis for the arrangement of financial assistance funds in the next step. This evaluation activity has started from the second half of 2020, lasting for 5 months. On the basis of self-evaluation, special audit and preliminary examination of each center, Jiangsu High-level University Construction Leading Group Office and third-party evaluation agencies organized and conducted expert meeting evaluation of Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center for Colleges and Universities. In the end, among the 71 collaborative innovation centers in Jiangsu universities, 6 centers were rated as A+, 26 as A, 26 as B, 11 as C (cultivation and construction), and 2 as independent development.
Ledby Jiangsu Normal University, the ministerial-provincial CollaborativeInnovation Center for Language Competence was established in 2012. In 2014, itwas recognized as a provincial-level Collaborative Innovation Center. In 2015,it was recommended to apply for the National Collaborative Innovation Center byJiangsu Province, and approved as a ministerial-provincial CollaborativeInnovation Center in 2019. Led by Director Yang Yiming, the center collaborateswith Institute of Pragmatics of the Ministry of Education, Tsinghua University,Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Chinese University ofHong Kong, Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,Institute of Ethnology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, ChinaRehabilitation Center, etc.
TheCenter has coordinated and promoted the construction and reform of languagecompetence, and made outstanding achievements in operation guarantee, mechanismand system innovation, construction and innovation results, which have beenhighly recognized by leaders and experts. The Center will take this performanceevaluation as a new starting point, earnestly sum up the experience, strengthenthe top-level design, continue to promote the development of collaborativeinnovation, strongly support the construction of high-level universities andfirst-class disciplines, and make greater contributions to serving the majorstrategic needs of the country.
