JSNU Leaders visit International students during winter vacation

“On festive occasions more than ever one thinks of one’s dear ones far away.”

Before Spring Festival, President Zhou Ruguang came to Students’ Apartment to visit 65 International students staying in China, extending new year greetings. Related directors from JSNU President’ Office, International Office, Office of Student Affairs, Logistic Management Office, Security Office, Logistic Group joined in this activity.

On Feb 11, the Chinese New Year’s Eve, President Zhou and the group went to Building 2 of Students’ Apartment.

“Remember to rest between study and contact your families as often as possible.”

“Tell your relatives and friends that you are safe and sound right now to make them feelat ease. Our university will take care all of you well and guarantee you to celebrate an auspicious year.”

Then, he gave “Fu” character and New Year gifts to students. After advising students to strictly adhere to epidemic prevention, President Zhou pasted couplets with them.

A greeting would warm people’s hearts. Receiving such generous gift packs, students were quite delighted. Students representatives from Dominic said that “Thanks for teachers’ gifts and greetings. Some students can’t speak Chinese yet, so I would like to say Happy New Year on behalf of them.”

Students from Kazakhstan said that “This is the 6th year that I have been stayed in China and is the specialist year. Although we could only stay in apartment, your visit makes us feel the warm of Chinese New Year. We hope everything goes as your wish.”

During winter vacation, International College took a series of effective measures, creating asafe campus and peaceful festive atmosphere.

International students seminar was held for teachers and students to spend the festival together. “Chinese New Year in Screen” – Chinese Movie Appreciation, “My Winter Vacation” Online Essay, Photo, Short Video Competition enriched students’ life.

Extending greetings conveyed deep affections; Expressing regards presented endless blessings.

This year, due to epidemic prevention, most of the international students chose to stay at university during new year vacation. Although they could not go back to their countries to reunite with their families, JSNU’s care and concern brought kindness to them and make them feel warm as well.
