Abstract:
The prototype chemotaxis models were proposed in a series of seminal works by Keller and Segel in 1970-1971. While many of mathematical results have been obtained for various modified Keller-Segelmodel, only few results are available to the original Keller-Segel with density-dependent motilities. In this talk, we shall discuss the challenges of analysis on this prototypical Keller-Segel model and report some progresses made on the traveling wave solutions, global well-posedness and critical mass phenomenon.
