University Leaders Attend the 2023 World Chinese Language Conference

From December 7th to 9th, the 2023 World Chinese Language Conference was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing. JSNUs Vice President, Zhang Yuqin, was invited to attend the Forum for Chinese Tests Contributing to the Development of International Trade in Services of the Conference and preside over the Topic 4. Pannels from China, the United States, Madagascar, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, France, and other countries discussed the CTCSOLs role in the the training and development of Chinese-language teachers. According to the realities of various countries and regions, scholars introduced the training of international Chinese-language teachers and their overseas work, as well as case studies on the promotion and development of the CTCSOL in detail. Some scholars also offered practical suggestions on the localization of Chinese-language teachers training from different perspectives such as project innovation, curriculum development,  standards establishment, etc.

Zhang also met with Dr. Yu Xuejun, the department chair of the Department of World Languages of Miami Dade College, and visited the language exhibition at the Conference. The head of the JSNUs International Office accompanied.

The theme of the 2023 World Chinese Language Conference was Chinese for the World, Openness into the Future. About 2000 people, including Chinese and foreign experts, government officials, representatives of international organizations, and heads of international language and culture institutions, attended the Conference.
