JSNU Makes Outstanding Performance in the 18th “Challenge Cup” National Contest


From October 27th to 31st, the 18th Challenge Cup National Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest was jointly sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the All China Students Federation, and the Guizhou Provincial Government at Guizhou University. Zhang Yuqin, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC JSNU (Jiangsu Normal University) Committee and Vice President, led a team to participate in the contest. Eventually, JSNU won 3 special-class awards, 4 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 2 third prizes, achieving a new breakthrough after furious competition.

In this contest, the number of JSNUs entries and awards are the most among all the competiton it has ever entered in recent years. Since the preparations for the contset started, the leaders of JSNU have attached great importance to it and have arranged related work. The participating colleges have spared no effort to support teachers and students, and the tutors have devoted themselves wholeheartedly to preparing for the competition.

It is reported that the “Challenge Cup” national contest is an important carrier for the Communist Youth League to serve college students’ technological innovation, and is known as the “Olympic” event  for contemporary college students’ technological innovation. The 18th “Challenge Cup” national contest attracted more than 2000 universities across the country, over 400 thousand entries, and over 2.5 million college students to enter it.
