The 19th Asian Games was held in Hangzhou from September 23rd to October 8th. 6 students from JSNU participated in the sport of rowing and football competitions, winning 2 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
In the sport of rowing, two alumni entered the competition, Cai Pengpeng and Zang Ha. They come from the class of 2023. In the final match of the Men’s Eight (M8+), Cai Pengpeng worked together with his teammates. They clocked 5:40 and won the gold medal. It was Jiangsu athletes’ first gold medal in the Hangzhou Asian Games. Meanwhile, Cai Pengpeng won a silver medal in the final of the Men’s Four (M4-). In the final of the Men’s Double Sculls (M2x), Zang Ha and his teammates clocked 6:02 and won the gold medal.
In the football competitions, three graduates and one student represented the Chinese women's football team. Dou Jiaxing, Xu Huan, Li Mengwen are from the class of 2022, 2021 and 2019 respectively. Ou Yiyao is a 2022 alumna, she fired 2 goals and 2 assists as the Chinese women’s football team took the bronze medal.
