On the afternoon of September 8th, JSNU (Jiangsu Normal University) held an Award Presentation Ceremony and Celebration of the 39th Teachers’ Day at Ma Ke Concert Hall. Bu Jinkun, the Chairperson of Jiangsu Education Foundation, and all University leaders attended the event. In addition, more than 500 participants, including representatives of outstanding groups and individuals, major responsible persons of functional departments and various Schools, new teachers, and representatives of teachers and students.
Fang Zhong, Secretary of the CPC JSNU Committee, delivered a speech at the event, extending deep respect and warm greetings to all the faculty and staff who have worked with great efforts in teaching, scientific research and management.
At the ceremony, teachers with 30 years’ experience received commemorative medals from President Zhou Ruguang. And then student representatives presented flowers to them.
Vice President Zhao Peng and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection Lv Hao jointly issued certificates to the winners of the National Teaching Achievement Awards, the leaders of national first-class undergraduate courses, the professional leaders of the industry-education integration brands in Jiangsu Province, and the teams and individuals which got good results in teaching competitions.
Two Vice Presidents Zhang Qifei and Lou Zhengrong jointly presented certificates to the instructors who won the first prize of the 2022 National “Tin Ka Ping Cup” Teaching Skills Competition for Full-time Professional Degree of the Masters of Education, and the representatives who won the Teaching Achievement Awards in art education at or above the provincial level.
Vice President Dong Xiaochen presented certificates to the representatives of the advisors of outstanding master’s thesis in Jiangsu Province in 2022.
Vice President Du Zengji presented certificates to the instructors who won the special prize and first prize of the 13th Challenge Cup China College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition (National Competition) and the 18th Challenge Cup National College Students Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition (Provincial Competition).
Vice President Zhang Yuqin presented certificates to the outstanding representatives who received provincial and municipal commendations of the Communist Youth League for organizational construction and volunteer service.
Cai Guochun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC JSNU Committee, presented certificates to the teachers who won the provincial and municipal awards of the trade union, the Women’s Federation, and the outstanding individuals who were awarded as “Beloved Teachers in Xuzhou”.
President Zhou Ruguang presented certificates to the representatives of the winners of the national and provincial Talent Programs.
Jiangsu Education Foundation set up the Noble Teacher's Virtue Prize in JSNU, and the ceremony commended the teachers who won the prize in 2023. Bu Jinkun, the Chairperson of Jiangsu Education Foundation, and Fang Zhong, Secretary of the CPC JSNU Committee, jointly presented awards to the representatives of the prize winners.
Bu Jinkun delivered a speech on behalf of Jiangsu Education Foundation, extended greetings and sincere gratitude to the faculty and staff, and warmly congratulated the commended groups and individuals.
At the end of the ceremony, new teachers swear allegiance.
