Dr. Di is professor in School of Linguistic Sciences And Arts, Jiangsu Normal University and the Lab. of Phonetics and Computational linguistics, Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His research interests include phonetics, morphology, computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, language evolution, Sino-Tibetan linguistics and Historical linguistics. He is mainly engaged in historical linguistic theory, and Tibetan language, and he is the primary developer of the Tibetan natural language processing in China. He is also involved in archaic Chinese and modern Chinese dialects with special viewpoints in exploring the origin of East-Asian languages before Oracle-Bone inscriptions period. He has published more than 10 academic works, and numerous articles in journals, and has edited many books, including a series works of 25 volumes of annotated texts of minority ethnical languages in China.
