Professor Gai Hongwei

Dr. Hongwei Gai has been a professor of School of Chemistry and Materials Science at Jiangsu Normal University since Dec. 2011. He earned his doctoral degree in analytical chemistry at Chinese Science of Academy, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 2005. After he did his postdoctoral work in Health Science Center at Texas University in San Antonio, Dr. Gai joined Biomedical Engineering Center at Hunan University as an appointed professor in Dec. 2006. Dr. Gai became a full professor in Aug. 2009 and then in School of Biology after Jan. 2010.  Dr. Gai’s research focuses on single molecule fluorescence imaging and the application in chemistry and biology. Dr. Gai has published over 30 scientific papers mostly in journals like Anal Chem, Lab Chip, Chem Commun, Angew Chem Int Ed, and he holds five patents. Dr. Gai received Young Scholar and General Project from National Natural Science Foundation.
