Meng Yincen from JSNU Wins a Bronze Medal in the Sport of Rowing at the 31st Summer Edition of the FISU World University Games

The 31st Summer Edition of the FISU World University Games will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province from July 28th to August 8th, 2023. Over 10,000 athletes and officers from 170 countries and regions participated in it. Meng Yincen, a student from JSNU, won a bronze medal in the Mens Eight (M8+) on August 6th.

The Chinese Delegation is composed of more than 700 players. 411 players from over 100 universities and colleges in 25 provinces will take part in 18 events of Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games. The Eight (M8+) is one of the rowing events, which has the longest rows and the largest number of athletes. Also, its the fastest event that is pretty to watch with a distance of 2000 meters. Mens Eight (M8+) and Womens Eight (W8+) were listed as Olympic events in 1900 and 1976 respectively.
