Recently, a notice issued by the National Press and Publication Administration suggested that a major project supported by the National Social Sciences Fund, General History of World Chinese Entrepreneurs, was included in National Key Books Publishing Planning Project of “the 14th Five-Year Plan”. The major project was headed by Professor Zhang Qiusheng from the School of Historical Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU), and he is also the director of the Australian Studies Center of JSNU.
The National Key Books Publishing Planning Project of “the 14th Five-Year Plan” is the top one in China’s publishing industry. It aims to provide an incentive for high-quality publications, the development of publishing industry and the construction of a great power in science and technology as well as a country with a thriving culture. The Project includes subprojects such as philosophy and social sciences, literature and art, natural sciences and engineering technology, publications for minors, Chinese ethnic languages, ancient books etc. Over 1,000 projects participated in philosophy and social sciences planning subproject and 200 of them were selected for the final.
