JSNU held 2017 National Province-Ministry Co-sponsored Universities Symposium during October 11 and 13. Wu Yan, Director of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Zhang Guohua, Secretary of CPC Xuzhou Municipal Committee, Fan Hailin, Deputy director of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Wang Chengbin, Deputy director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jia Suotang, Director of Province-Ministry Co-sponsored Universities Research Center, Ministry of Education and President of Shanxi University, Hua Guihong, Secretary of CPC Jiangsu Normal University Committee, Zhou Ruguang, President of Jiangsu Normal University and more than 160 leaders of Province-Ministry Co-sponsored universities and departments attended the symposium. Zhang Guohua, Wang Chengbin and Hua Guihong gave their speeches at the opening ceremony.
Secretary Zhang Guohua pointed out that as a regional leading demonstrative university, JSNU rooted in Huaihai Area and took a path of innovative, transformative and characteristic development. JSNU played the role of high-level think tank, contributing to Xuzhou and Jiangsu education cause. This symposium was a wonderful opportunity for us to absorb the new ideas and new thoughts of all the presidents and experts and inject new momentum for a new-round development of Xuzhou.
