On May 12th, the grand opening ceremony of the 4th“ZiJin Award” College Student Design Exhibition was held at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center. This year’s exhibition attracted nearly 200 colleges and universities, including the top nine academies of fine arts in China from 34 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions of China. With over 33,000 entries, the number of participants and exhibits at this event hit a new high.
At the venue, JSNU’s exhibition space themed on the charms of Chu and Han Dynasty received full recognition from the organizing committee, as it was magnificent with exquisite exhibits. Vice President of JSNU, Qian Jin, introduced in detail the artistic series “Sceneries of Pengcheng” created by our students and its cultural connotation.
The design exhibition was led by the School of Fine Arts. Besides that School, entries from the School of Media, Film and Television, the School of Mechatronic Engineering, etc. attained impressive achievements. The exhibition space of JSNU won the Second Prize of the Best Exhibition (six award-winning ones in China), two works won the Best Exhibit, and three works received the Most Popular Award. Under the guidance of three teachers Wang Ruiqin, Cai Zengbin, and Jiang Zhe from School of Fine Arts, the exhibition space showcased art pieces created by students from diverse perspectives. It featured a range of exquisite artwork, including subtle and refined lacquerware, ingenious hand-woven crafts, and well-designed textile art. The display embodied the magnificent and elegant culture of Chu and Han Dynasty, providing an opportunity for visitors to experience the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture.
