From April 22nd to 23rd, the Jiangsu Martial Art Routine Championship in 2023 and the First National Student (Youth) Games Martial Art Routine Trial Competition, which was hosted by the Jiangsu Student Sports Federation and undertaken by Yangzhou University was held in the Gymnasium on Yangzijin Campus. The martial arts team of Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU) acted calmly, and after two-days fierce competition, they won 4 individual championships, 4 runner-ups, and 3 second runner-ups.
The competition aims to select outstanding young athletes to represent Jiangsu Province to participate in the first National Student (Youth) Games. The competition is both a test and a practice. For the athletes of JSNU the competition promoted training, passed on the love for martial arts, fully demonstrated the spirit of being bold in fighting and competing, and interpreted the culture of advocating martial arts and morality, and self-cultivation. In the future, the athletes will continue to uphold the concept of “inheriting Chinese civilization and promoting the quintessence of Chinese culture”, bring all their energies, strive to be the champion, and make great achievements.
