On April 16th, the 13th “Silver Ball Cup” Table Tennis Competition for students of Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU) came to a successful end at the Sports Center.
The competition was organized by the Sports Committee of JSNU and undertaken by Student Affairs Office and Institute of Physical Education. 18 teams from School of Electrical Engineering and Automation and C.W. Chu College etc. participated in the competition.
There were three sports in the event, including mixed team, men’s singles and women’s singles. After two days of fierce competition, School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Law School and C.W. Chu College won the top three of the mixed teams competition. Li Yongzheng from JSNU SPBPU Institute of Engineering -- Sino-Russian Institute, Chen Yuqi from Law School and Li Ping’an from School of Electrical Engineering and Automation won the first three places in men’s singles. Sha Xuanyu from Law School, Xue Zhihuan from School of Chinese Language and Literature, and Liu Kejun from Business School won the top three in women’s singles. Athletes including Su Dong from School of Geography, Geomatics and Planning and Wang Yuhe from School of Marxism Studies won the Sportsmanship Award. At last, the relevant leaders presented awards to the winners at the closing ceremony.
The competition served as an important platform for table tennis enthusiasts to exchange and show themselves, promoting the communication of campus sports culture and sunny sports in JSNU.
