On March 31st, Huang Xiaohua, Deputy Director of the Teacher Education Department of Ministry of Education, and Song Changyuan, Deputy Division Chief of the Teacher Development Division, came to School of Linguistic Science and Arts to investigate the Collaborative Innovation Center for Language Ability Co-sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Government and Ministry of Education. They were accompanied by Fang Zhong, Secretary of CPC JSNU Committee, Qian Jin, Vice President of JSNU, and Yang Yiming, Director of the Center.
Huang Xiaohua and the delegation visited the live studio of the Center, the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging Laboratory, the Neurotomy Room, the Language and Brain Research Center for the Deaf, the Eye Tracking Laboratory, the ERP Laboratory, and the Data Processing Center, Molecular and Cellular Linguistics and Brain-Inspired Intelligence Research Center and other professional laboratories and research centers. After that, they talked with relevant researchers kindly.
And then Huang Xiaohua and the delegation listened to Yang Yiming’s report on the construction of Collaborative Innovation Center for Language Ability in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of the Center. Huang Xiaohua fully affirmed the achievements of School of Linguistic Science and Arts and the Center in various aspects. Especially, it’s admirable that the School takes first-class scientific research achievements to improve teaching, explores new tracks of new liberal arts education and constructs new talents cultivation methods based on serving the national important needs. He also looked forward to witnessing more brilliant achievements in the future.
Fang Zhong expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Deputy Director Huang Xiaohua and the delegation for their arrival and guidance.
