On the afternoon of March 30th, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Nazamid Saari, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia led a group of 6 people visited JSNU. Cen Hong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU) Committee, met with the delegation. Leaders from Quanshan District People’s Government of Xuzhou as well as relevant persons in charge of JSNU’s International Office, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, School of Life Sciences and International College attended the meeting.
Firstly, Cen Hong extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Then, she introduced the current situation of JSNU and the development achievements of international cooperation and exchanges. She said that JSNU always attaches importance to the partnership with Malaysian universities, and it’s willing to carry out multi-level and multi-field cooperation with Universiti Putra Malaysia in joint training, scientific research, etc. Furthermore, maintaining long-term cooperation is beneficial to the international development of the two universities.
YBhg. Prof. Dr. Nazamid Saari expressed his gratitude to JSNU for the warm reception. He briefly introduced the situation of Universiti Putra Malaysia and pointed out that the university focuses on scientific research, and the key areas include agronomy, nanoscience, etc. In fact, Universiti Putra Malaysia has already cooperated with many Chinese universities before, and now it also looks forward to establishing substantive cooperation with JSNU to further develop the friendship.
Wong Tze Wei, Chairman of the Federation of Malaysian Universities, said that the visit is a good opportunity to promote the cooperation between more excellent universities in Malaysia and JSNU in academic exchanges, research cooperation, and teacher training.
At the meeting, the two sides also discussed academic cooperation, joint training programs and Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools etc.
