On the afternoon of November 18th, JSNU and Xuzhou Daily Media Group held a signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement on an internship training base for college students. Meng Zhaoxue, the Minister of Publicity Department, and He Guixiang, Vice General Manager of Xuzhou Press Media Group Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony. Chiefs of Xuzhou Daily Media Group and relevant departments of the university, and more than 30 representatives of student reporters from the Student News Agency and Student Media Center of Jiangsu Normal University attended the event.
He Guixiang expressed a warm welcome to our students and teachers. He said that Xuzhou Daily Media Group always keeps pace with the times and encourages innovation. In recent years, the group has been aiming at building a new municipal first-class mainstream media, deepening the reform of institutional mechanism, comprehensively building a strong talent team and continuously promoting the deep integration of media. Today, the group needs to attract more excellent talents for its development. He hoped that both sides would strengthen the contact and cooperation, and constantly explore new models and paths on school-enterprise cooperation.
Meng Zhaoxue said that the cooperation and exchange between our university and the group has always maintained a good tradition. Through the joint construction of the internship training base for college students and the selection and appointment of off-campus instructors, we can further advance business cooperation and school-enterprise exchanges. By delivering high quality interns, improving students’ professionalism, job adaptability and innovation level, we can achieve a new win-win situation of “industry-university-research” in-depth cooperation with talent training as the core.
At the ceremony, Meng Zhaoxue and He Guixiang signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the university and the group respectively, and witnessed the unveiling of the board “the Employment Practice and Training Base for Jiangsu Normal University Students”. The appointment ceremony of the off-campus instructors of the Student News Agency and Student Media Center was also held on the spot. After the ceremony, the instructors and reporter representatives carried out special tutorial reports and interactive exchanges to the student journalist group.
Students and teachers also visited the history museum and the news editing hall of Xuzhou Daily Media Group to observe the standardized news editing process.
