JSNU participated in the Sino-Japanese University Presidents Forum

On Sept. 28th, Hokuriku University launched the Sino-Japanese University Presidents Forum online. The forum plays a significant role in the 20th anniversary of 2+2 joint cultivation project advanced by Hokuriku University and some Chinese universities. Zhou Ruguang, the president of JSNU, attended the forum and gave a speech. The heads of International Office and School of Foreign Studies were present at the forum.

On the forum, the president of Hokuriku University, Tsutomu Ogura, delivered his welcome address and expressed thanks to leaders of partner institutions. The supervisor of Hokuriku University reported the project progress to the forum. After respective speeches given by Chinese leaders, the director of Hokuriku University summarized and he hoped to develop further cooperation to promote Sino-Janpanese communication.

Zhou Ruguang pointed out that this year is the 50th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. The project which cultivated outstanding young talents from China and Japan catered to a common concern for two countries. President Zhou introduced the “2+2” project and visits between different universities briefly. He suggested that the cooperation between Hokuriku University, Chinese universities and other Japanese universities should be strengthened to make contributions to training high-quality and versatile talents. 

College leaders and heads of international offices from about 20 universities including Dalian University Of Foreign Languages, Beijing Language and Culture University, Liaoning Normal University, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Beijing International Studies University and Sichuan International Studies University, etc., attended the forum. In-depth communication was conducted between Chinese and Japanese leaders on joint cultivation.
