It was reported by the People’s Daily on 24th September on its 11th page that “The Belt and Road” Language Service International Symposium was held by Jiangsu Normal University and Al- Farabi Kazakh National University in Alma-Ata, the biggest city of Kazakhstan. Over 20 scholars from countries along the Belt and Road and over 150 teachers and students of the university took part in the symposium.
The symposium was co-organized by the two universities in memory of the 3rd anniversary of September 2013, when Kazakhstan initiated the world to build Silk Road Economy Development Zone. The symposium aims to strengthen the cooperation and exchange between language scholars from the countries along the belt to improve the language service ability.
