On December 5th, the seminar of “Building a regional functional platform to improve the development level of central city” was held in JSNU. The seminar is co-sponsored by JSNU and Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government, and co-organized by the Belt and Road Research Institute of JSNU, Xuzhou Municipal Government Research Office and Xuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce. Professor Hua Guihong, Party Secretary of CPC JSNU Committee and Dean of the Belt and Road Research Institute, and Wu Weidong, Vice Mayor of Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government, attended the meeting. More than 40 experts and scholars from all over the country participated in the seminar online and offline.
Professor Hua Guihong said in his speech that building a regional functional platform is an important way to accelerate the development of central city, and a regional functional platform is urgently needed to construct the central city of Huaihai Economic Zone with high quality. We should further build a higher education platform in Xuzhou.
Experts and scholars from Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University and other universities were invited to the seminar to make suggestions for the realization of Xuzhou’s strategic goals. JSNU will sort out the views and suggestions of leaders, experts and scholars into a political consultation report, which will be submitted to provincial and municipal leaders and relevant departments for reference.
