On the afternoon of September 15th, the delegation of Universidad Nacional Tecnológica de Lima Sur (UNTELS) visited Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU), and President Du Zengji met with the delegation.
On behalf of JSNU, President Du Zengji warmly welcomed President Cruz and her delegation to the visit. President Du reviewed that the two universities signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Dialogue between the Civilization of China and the LAC recently. He also pointed out that the visit is an important milestone in the development of the relationship between the two universities and a crucial step in promoting the cultural exchanges between China and Peru. He stated that JSNU is willing to collaborate with UNTELS to deepen cooperation and contribute to building a community with a shared future for humanity.
Cruz highly praised JSNU’s achievements in the internationalization of higher education. She said that international cooperation leads to the future of higher education. As a university dedicated to science, innovation, and sustainable development, UNTELS looks forward to in-depth cooperation with JSNU. Cruz specifically mentioned that they are willing to learn from JSNU’s experience in university-enterprise cooperation, promoting Peru’s sustainable development. Cruz sincerely invited Du Zengji to visit UNTELS and put forward the three-step cooperation vision: promoting mutual visits between teachers and students in the short term, carrying out joint training projects in the medium term, and realizing dual-degree cooperation in the long term.
The School of Foreign Studies introduced the construction results of the Institute for China-LAC People-to-people exchange. Later, the School of Mechatronic Engineering and the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation reported on international cooperation and exchange as well as future plans, respectively. The two sides held in-depth discussions on issues such as the co-construction of disciplines, scientific research cooperation, and talent cultivation.
In addition, the delegation visited the School of Linguistics Sciences and Arts and the International College. They also talked with students of the School of Linguistics Sciences and Arts as well as Peruvian students of the International College.
