Jiangsu Normal University Youth Choir was officially established at Rehearsal Hall of Academy of Music on the afternoon of April 24. Professor Liu Guangdeng, Vice President of JSNU unveiled the plague for the choir. Relative cadres of Youth League committee and Academy of Music attended the unveiling ceremony.
Vice President Liu expressed his congratulations to ensembles of the choir and his gratitude for students’ hard work. He said that the choir was established at the moment of the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement, which was important to campus culture. He hoped that young students could show the spirit of new era with their voices. The ensemble performed Edelweiss and Me and My Motherland. Wu Muxiao, advisor of the choir and representatives of the students expressed their thoughts and achievements.
The JSNU Youth Choir is a student organization affiliated to the Youth League committee. Its establishment and development were highly supported by the Academy of Music. In all, over 500 students from 22 schools attended the trails. The choir is intended to cultivated students’ artistic quality, improve students’ comprehensive quality and enrich campus culture.
