2019 Italian Design Day (Xuzhou) was presented on March 9 at Jiangsu Normal University. It was sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Italy), Ministry of Culture (Italy), and Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, and co-sponsored by Foreign Affairs Office of Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government, Jiangsu Normal University, Beijing THINKDR Management Consulting Co., ltd. and Xuzhou Radio and Television Media Group. Held at the Lecture Hall of School of Linguistic Sciences and Arts, the activity, hosted by Professor Huang Junwei, Vice President of JSNU, attracted Mr. Robert Pagani, counselor for science and technology, Mr. Xu Donghai and Vice Mayor of Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government.
Mr. Robert Pagani, Mr. Xu Donghai and Professor Zhou Ruguang, President of JSNU gave speech at the ceremony respectively, introducing the situation and international cooperation of Xuzhou and JSNU, and the significance of 2019 Italian Design Day (Xuzhou). The keynote speech was presented by the well-known architect Luciano Pia. Designers from China and Italy conducted discussions over topics like urban design, problems and cooperation, and accepted interviews of Xuzhou TV.
Italian Design Day is made to promote and spread Italian designs, to make the public have a better understanding of Italian designs, and to sense the spirit behind each design
