Professor Zhang Yuchen Wins the Thieme Chemistry Journals Award 2025

Recently, Thieme Group announced the list of Thieme Chemistry Journals Awardees 2025. Professor Zhang Yuchen, from the School of Chemistry and Materials Science of Jiangsu Normal University, is one of the recipients of the Award.

Established in 1999, the Thieme Chemistry Journals Award is presented annually. Emerging researchers around the world who are in the early stages of independent academic careers have the chance to be the candidates. With the aim to encourage young scientists, it is granted to prospective chemists who have been recognized as high-potential researchers in the field of chemical synthesis and catalysis or closely related areas of organic chemistry. In the 2025 edition, a total of 93 researchers were awarded globally.

Professor Zhang Yuchen has undertaken projects funded by the Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of Jiangsu, the National Natural Science Foundation of China etc. He has published more than 50 papers in international chemistry journals such as J.Am.Chem.Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Sci. China Chem., Chin. J. Chem., etc. as the first author or the corresponding author.
