Between 27th Nov. to 30th Nov,JSNU held the International symposium on China Spatial Economics (2015) & SCO Cooperation Forum. The hosts of this conference were JSNU, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Economic Research Journal, the major research plan of National Social Science Foundation of China – ‘the Theory and Practice of Spatial Economics in China’ research group , the Committee of Spatial Economics RSAC and the Research Center For Industrial and Regional Economy of Sun Yat-Sen University and it was undertaken by the Business School and the Research Center of SCO of JSNU. Over 100 scholars and research fellows from universities all over the country attended this conference. Professor Liang Qi, Chairman of the conference and distinguished dean of Business School, hosted the opening ceremony. Mr. Cai Guochun, deputy president of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Mr. Zheng Hongliang, research fellow from theInstitute of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences made speeches. In his speech, Mr. Zheng Hongliang pointed out that since the strategy of “the Belt and Road” was put forward, we had witnessed great participation from home and abroad, but the researches on the theories lagged behind relatively. Therefore, the conference meant a lot and appropriately in time. Mr. Cai Guochun expressed his congratulations for the holding, welcomed guests and experts attending this conference and briefed on the development of Business School and JSNU. |
The conference specially invited Mr. Pei Changhong, director of the Institute of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Mr. Chen Quansheng, counselor of the State Council. On the conference, Mr. Ni Pengfei, the research fellow of Institute of Public Finance and Trade Economics, CASS, Dr. Алексеевна from St. Petersburg University for Communication, Mr. Chen Yao, professor of Institute of Industrial Economy of Chinese Academy of Social Science, Professor Liang Qi, director of major project of National Social and Science Foundation of China, Professor Tan Yue fromNational University of Defense Technology, Professor Wang Zheng from CAS
Professor Shi Minjun from RUC, Professor Zhao Wei from Zhejiang University, Professor Fan Jianyong from Fudan University all made academic reports.Professor Ren Rongwei and some other professors expressed their opinions that related to the theme. The two sessions were respectively hosted by Mr. Jin Chengwu, reserch fellow of Institute of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Mr.Lu Jin and professor from Peking University. Six parallel sessions were set up, where professor Zong Jiafeng from NKU, professor Tian Boping from HIT etc. were there as hosts and critics.
On the night of Spatial Economy in 28th Nov., Mr. Chen Quansheng, Mr. Pei Changhong and professor Qiang Qi gave awards to Mr. Si Zengchuo and other 12 winners for their excellent papers on this session
Mr. Li Haijian,professor from graduate school of CASS made academic lecture before the conference and Professor LÜ Xin from National University of Defense Technology made targeting training for this event.
