As one of the two universities conducting joint programs in Jiangsu Province, JSNU has established collaborative programs in marketing with Deakin University and South West TAFE College since 1993. In 2000, it was updated to a“2+2” program for bachelor’s degree. Such programs grew rapidly with partnership of foreign universities since 2015, including “3+2” consecutive academic program with New York Film Academy that links undergraduate and postgraduate programs, “1.5+1.5” and “0.5+1” programs with Deakin University for master’s degree, 5-year master program with Illinois State University in U.S., and short-term exchange programs with Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, University of Alcala, Charleston Southern University, University of Malaya.
Jiangsu Normal University has been achieving a lot in joint programs for different levels and teaching formalities. A Sino-Russian Institute was established in 2013, which is the largest one in China for students’ enrollment and the notable for its high-quality education. JSNU also established joint programs with Emperor AlexanderI St. Petersburg State Transport University in undergraduate’s education in Financial Engineering specialty and Rail Traffic Signal and Control specialty. We have worked with PLEKHANOV Russian University of Economics in International Trade Master Program. In June 2016, JSNU’s joint program --- International Trade was titledas “The High Level Demonstration Project of Sino-Foreign Cooperation in Jiangsu Universities”after the strict accreditation and evaluation.
In April 2016, JSNU established China’s first non-legal person Institute of Sino-Russian collaborative education ——JSNU-SPbPU Institute of Engineering after the approval by China’ Ministry of Education. Asa “state-level, research-oriented university” ranking first in science and engineering universities in Russia, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is highly competitive in various disciplines in the world. It is on the list of Russian“5 － 100 －2020” plan, which aims at developing world top 100 universities. Now JSNU-SPbPU Instituteof Engineering has four bachelor programs, including mechanical design and automation, electronic and information engineering, electronic science and technology and industrial design as well as two master programs of mechanical engineering and optical engineering. Major courses of such joint programs are taught in the Russian language.
