JSNU’s discipline of computer science was included in top 1% on Essential Science Indicators (ESI) list for the fist time according to the latest statistics from the Clarivate Analytics in May, 2023. Up to now, it is JSNU’s sixth discipline that has been included in top 1% on ESI list.
In recent years, JSNU has given priority to fundamental research. By promoting organized scientific research, encouraging and guiding high-level research achievements, core competitiveness and international influence of disciplines are enhanced. Through strategic planning and systematic advancement, disciplines such as Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Mathematics, and General Social Sciences have been included in Top 1% on ESI list. With the support of the School of Computer Science and Technology, the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, and the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the discipline of computer science achieves a significant growth in high-quality academic papers and continuously enhances its academic influence. Accordingly, it’s included in top 1% on ESI list for the first time in May, 2023.
