On the morning of May 7th, Hua Guihong, Party Secretary of JSNU, investigated the construction of Niushan branch of school library. Party Secretary Hua Guihong put forward clear requirements on the following construction of Niushan Branch Library, including cultural atmosphere, management, safety, etc. Hua pointed out that JSNU has always paid attention to the targeted and effective literature service of the library. In order to provide nearby learning places and convenient personalized information service for teachers and students, JSNU proposed the plan of setting up a branch library according to the subject and specialty, and Niushan Library came into being. He hopes that Niushan Branch Library can be built into a scientific research and service center for subject information, a palace for teachers and students to acquire knowledge, and a paradise of innovation for research and exploration.
According to the requirements of doing practical things and solving difficult problems for teachers and students put forward by the Party Committee of the university, JSNU has decided to further enhance the pertinence of the library and literature service, and establish a specialized branch library for teachers and students. Niushan Branch Library mainly provides services for teachers and students of various colleges, such as School of Mathematics and Statistics, Business School and Sino-Russian Institute, who live in the side of Niushan, providing them with systematic books and documents of their respective disciplines.
Under the strong support of school leaders and relevant departments, the constructionof Niushan Branch Library is to be completed soon. It is currently in the trial operation stage. The library is spacious and bright with clean tables and chairs. The establishment of Niushan Library will effectively solve the problem of the long journey to the library, and reduce the time cost of consulting the professional literature for the majority of teachers andstudents. It is one of the ten practical things JSNU has done for teachers andstudents.
