Gold Medal at the fourth Chinese youth volunteer service project competition and Volunteer service exchange

The fourth Chinese youth volunteer service project competition and Volunteer service exchange was held in Deyang, Sichuang Province during November 29 and December 3. This competition, themed as “making contribution to the new era”, was co-sponsored by several units such as the Central Committee of the Communist Young League, Central Civilization Office, Ministry of Civil Affairs, and other departments.

Totally, there were 590 projects reached the final. JSNU’s project, Cangji Academy, which was aimed at promoting Chinese characters and guided by Geng Yan from School of Chinese Language and Literature, achieved a gold medal relying on an excellent presentation.

In recent years, JSNU has paid much attention on teenager volunteer activities and has been awarded national and provincial prizes. Related stories have been reported by China Education Daily and China Youth Daily. This is the third time of JSNU to gain the highest honor of Chinese youth volunteer service project competition since 2014, presenting the volunteer skills and spirits of JSNU students.
