Vice president Zhou Ruguang met with the delegation of Kasetsart University of Tailand

September 18 afternoon, vice president,Zhou Ruguang met with Thailand Kasetsart University delegation. The twosides made in-depth exchange of ideas on strengthening the exchange of visitsbetween the teachers and students of the two schools, and the cooperation indisciplines and training programs and signed two cooperation memorandums. The talkswere chaired by Sun Wei, the director of International Office of JNSU.

Vice president, Zhou Ruguang gave the Thai delegation a warm welcome, andmade a brief introduction to JSNU’s history, disciplinary placement andacademic strengths. He hoped the two sides could have more programs of culturalexchange and student exchange to make contributions to the cooperation andcommunication between the two countries in fields of culture, economy, scienceand others.

Acting Vice President of Kasetsart University, Lily Kaveeta thanked thehost for the warm reception, and gave details of Kasetsart University,including the school features, enrollment, and international cooperation. Asone of the top three comprehensive universities in Thailand, KasetsartUniversity has more than 20 academic units covering science, arts, socialsciences, humanities, education, engineering, and architecture. Lily Kaveetasaid the Kasetsart University had a great interest on the subjects of ecology,genetics, botany of Jiangsu Normal University, and expected further cooperation.According to Lily Kaveeta, students in Thailand are becoming more and moreinterested in Chinese learning and Chinese culture, and she  hoped to send more students from KasetsartUniversity to study in Jiangsu Normal University.

Finally, Zhou Ruchang and Lily Kaveeta signed memorandums of cooperation,exchanged gifts, and took pictures together.

Delegates of Kasetsart University Sutkhet Nakasathien, Donludee Jaisut, WiwatHanvongjirawat, Santi Sanglestsawai, Kanokporn Numtong, and leaders of JSNU’s InternationalCollege, Shool of Chinese Language and Literature, School of History,  Culture and Tourism, School of Life Science,Business School and other units attended the talks.
