The 12th Han Culture & Tourism Festival and Hanfu International Promotion Contest, sponsored by CPC Xuzhou Municipal Committee, Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government and Tourism Department of Jiangsu Province, was held at Xuzhou Renmin Theater on the evening of October 20.
Leaders of national, provincial and municipal departments attended the ceremony.
7 international students from JSNU International College, also the participants of the contest, presented the audience excellence performance. 5 students were awarded “International Ambassador of Han Culture.
2018 Xuzhou Hanfu Promotion Contest lasted over one hundred days, attracting more than 3,000 contestants from around 10 countries.
Leaders of International College supported this contest greatly. Those 7 international students, who only could say “hello” in Chinese since they had arrived China two months ago, learned to sing An ode to the dusty wind and to dance in their spare time. At the final contest, they achieved all the judges’ accomplishment through their performance.
This contest made JSNU international students appreciate the culture of Hanfu and improved the influence of JSNU international education. Those who participated will understand China better and faster.
