In order to further strengthen the construction of Excellent Rural Teacher Education Alliance in the Huaihai Economic Zone and to explore and build the “Huaihai Mode” of higher education, the first meeting of Excellent Talent Cultivation Community Under the College System in Universities of Huaihai Economic Zone was held by video link on the morning of Nov. 17th. Vice President of JSNU, Qian Jin, Vice President of Shangqiu Normal University, Guo Wenjia and chiefs of academic affairs offices and colleges of five community member universities, including Huaibei Normal University, Linyi University, Shangqiu Normal University, Zhoukou Normal University and our university, attended the meeting.
Qian Jin reviewed the work of the Excellent Rural Teacher Education Alliance of the Huaihai Economic Zone. He said that the universities have actively adapted to basic education, served basic education, researched and leaded basic education, and achieved fruits. Universities in the alliance have the same cultural background as well as similar linguistic and regional economics features and development path. But their school running characteristics are different. He hoped that the five member universities would initiate the establishment of the excellent talent cultivation community under the college system. As a special organization under the Excellent College Teacher Education Alliance of the Huaihai Economic Zone, the community should coordinate the high-quality educational resources of universities in the economic zone, exchange educational concepts and experience in cultivating outstanding talents. Furthermore, they should explore the long-term cooperation mechanism in the economic zone, so as to realize effective sharing of system and resources among universities, especially colleges. In this way, they could deepen cooperation on the basis of respective advantages and maintain the community together to produce high-quality results.
At the meeting, combining with the schooling situation and cultivation effectiveness of their excellent talent cultivation, institutions of the community exchanged views on the mode of construction and development law of colleges. They discussed the educational concept and experience in cultivating talents, and put forward constructive opinions on the operation and cooperation of the community.
