From November 16th to 17th, Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University of Russia, the executive director of the Sino-Russian University Education Alliance, held the 2022 annual meeting of the Sino-Russian University Education Alliance and the University Presidents’ Roundtable Forum, as well as the academic seminar on Teacher Education in the Context of Global Digitalization. Cen Hong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC JSNU Committee was invited to the event and delivered a speech entitled Digital Intelligence Empowers Students in Teacher Training Program to Achieve Excellence at the Roundtable Forum. The minister-counsellor of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Russia Cao Shihai, the Minister of Education of the Siberian Federal District of Russia, the leaders of 21 member universities of the Sino-Russian University Education Alliance, the head of the International Office and experts and scholars, as well as the heads of the International Office and the School of Smart Education of our university attended the meeting. The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by the president of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University.
Minister-counsellor Cao Shihai pointed out in his opening speech that Sino-Russian relations have developed steadily in the face of profound changes unseen in a century. Specifically, the Chinese and Russian governments have held various activities for the Sino-Russian Exchange Year, and more than 700 universities have joined the Sino-Russian University Union to vigorously develop education. The governments have devoted major efforts to digital intelligence education and the cooperation in this area is steadily advancing, entering the stage of digital and intelligent transformation. In 2023, the two countries will carry out more in-depth cooperation in digital intelligence education.
In the roundtable forum, Cen Hong explained in detail the advanced concept of our university of the active transformation of digital intelligence training for students in teacher training program and the use of new digital and intelligent technology to empower the excellence growth of students. She demonstrated the progress and effectiveness of our university's digital intelligence technology in the cultivating students in teacher training program to other universities in China and Russia. She said that in the future, our university would adhere to the systemic concept, stay committed to the education belief of technical innovation and firmly promote the digital intelligence transformation in normal education, to cultivate a large number of outstanding teachers for the future.
During the conference, leaders of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Herzen university, Lobachevsky State Pedagogical University, Tomsk State University, Northeast Normal University, Shaanxi Normal University, and Central China Normal University spoke on the theme of the roundtable Contemporary Challenges for Teacher Education in Russia and China.
