Recently, Professor Tang Dingyuan, from School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, JSNU, has been awarded the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education according to “The Notice of the 2020 Science and Technology Award of Jiangsu Province” by People’s Government of Jiangsu Province. It is the first time for JSNU to achieve this award.
Prof. Tang was introduced in 2011 and was recruited as the academic leader of “Novel Photoelectric Functional Material”. Under his leadership, the team, after determining thecore research interest of Mid-Infrared Laser Technology, has been highly developing the intersection between Optical Functional Ceramic Materials and Applications, Infrared Glass and Fiber, and Nanophotonics Materials, achievinga series of distinctive and pioneering research results in the fields of Mid-Infrared Laser Technology, High-power Fiber Laser, In-Band Pumping Solid-State Laser.
Since his working at JSNU, Prof. Tang has contributed to the university’s discipline construction, scientific search and talent introduce and cultivation, highly boosting the university’s initial scientific and technology results and development in the field of laser materials.
Totally, there are 7 foreign experts were presented the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education in 2019. This award is aimed to praise foreign experts that make important contributions to the scientific and technology works in JiangsuProvince.
