Branch Center of JSNU “the Belt and Road” Research Center is established in the University of the Punjab


Deputy Party Secretary of CPC Committee of JSNU, Cen Hong and her delegation paid visit to University of the Punjab and Pakistan Institute of Information and Technology between 8-12 March, achieving effective communication and promotion in terms of the cultural and academic communication, exchange of faculty staff and international students, especially the study of CPEC.

At the University of the Punjab, Mrs. Cen joined a conference with the president and the leaders from related departments, on which, Mrs. Cen made a speech on CPEC construction issues and signed a cooperative contract about two universities’ exchange of faculty staff, cooperative research, joint-postgraduate training. After the conference, they both took participant in tree-planting activity, which represented an ever-lasting friendship of two universities and was reported by the national TV station of Pakistan.

Mrs. Cen, the delegation members, executive vice director of “the Belt and Road” Research Center, Mr. Shen Zhengping and the dean of Pakistan Research Center, UP jointly inaugurated for University of Punjab Branch Center of JSNU “the Belt and Road” Research Center, which witnessed the sincere friendship between the two universities and the two countries.

University of Punjab is a comprehensive university in Pakistan, established at Lahore, 1882. It has long history and large scale, from which, three Nobel laureates graduated. Professor Sun Hongqi from JSNU has been conducting cooperative researches with the Pakistan Research Center, UP.

Mrs. Cen paid visit to Pakistan Institute of Information and Technology and held a focused interview with its director of the China Research Center on CPEC construction during her staying in Pakistan.
