An online signing ceremony took place on the morning of May 4th, marking the education cooperation between Xiangshan government and our university.(Xiangshan is a major municipal district of Huaibei city in east China’s Anhuiprovince.) Our university’s president Zhou Ruguang and vice president Wang Xiaosan were present at the ceremony, so were mayor of Xiangshan district government Zhang Li and deputy district mayor Zhang Yunling. Relevant departments of two sides also attended the ceremony.
Zhou Ruguang noted in his address, our university has long been exercising social and collegiate responsibilities by fully leveraging our advantages in talents, faculty resources, platform and brand. To promote basic education reform and regional socio-economic development, we have adopted various modes to run schools and services in partnership with local governments on basic education, and to great effect. Meanwhile, Xiangshan, steeped in history, boasts itscritical location and unique resources. And the district’s overall strength isincreasingly growing. As such, our cooperative accord on the joint construction of schools will be a contributor to give full play to advantages of both sides and pool quality educational resources, thus creating top tier schools.
Districtmay or Zhang Li also pointed out that JSNU owns outstanding faculty teams and competitive capacities of teaching and scientific research while performing prominent in many fields. And a myriad of talents with both integrity andability from JSNU has revitalized our society especially the education field.Therefore, taking this opportunity, Xiangshan will work with JSNU together tomake our cooperative school a model of basic education in Xiangshan via makinguse of quality educational resources of JSNU, thereby setting an excellent example for cooperations between university and local government.
At the online ceremony, vice president of JSNU Wang Xiaosan and deputy district mayor Zhang Yunling signed the education cooperation agreement on behalf of JSNU and Xiangshan government respectively.
