On the afternoon of July 1st, the opening ceremony of the branch library of Jiangsu Normal University in Foreign Studies was held. Professor QianJin, Standing Member of JSNU Committee and Vice President of JSNU, attended theceremony and gave a speech. Representatives of the university library andteachers and students of School of Foreign Studies participated in the event.
Vice President Qian Jin congratulated on the opening of the branch of Jiangsu Normal University Library, and fully affirmed the positive role of the establishment of the branch library of foreign languages in promoting the construction of disciplines and majors of the School and improving the quality of talent cultivation. Vice President Qian said that the establishment of the branch library in School of Foreign Studies conforms to the trend of internationalization of higher education and provides convenient conditions for teachers and students to carry out foreign language study and research, which is conducive to providing more targeted and personalized services. He hoped that the university library and School of Foreign Studies should strengthen the construction and management of the branch library, and make the branch a venue with disciplinary characteristics, a carrier of first-class professional construction and a base for spreading Chinese culture.
The construction of the branch library in School of Foreign Studies is an important measure to carry out educational and practical activities history study of CPC. In the future, School of Foreign Studies and the library will further increase their investment and strive to build the branch library into a professional, distinctive and high-quality learning place for teachers and students.
